"I urge you: learn to look at 'bad' films, they are so often sublime."-Abo Kyrou

Much traditional Hollywood filmmaking is banal and tedious. Big name stars and even bigger special effects combine to create a tepid moviegoing experience. Computer-generated effects and big-ticket egos strip away all the fun and excitement of moviegoing. The plot is sacrificed in exchange for car chases and extended fight sequences. Think about it ... when was the last time you went to a movie and were really impressed with what you saw?

This page deals with 'fringe'-type cinema. Films that are different and exciting. Monster movies, sci-fi, horror, gore, exploitation, cult, blaxploitation, ... all of these genres have been pigeonholed with the phrase "B-Movies". This is, most-likely, a fitting name, because all of these genres recieve less attention from their A-List counterparts. They are all produced with a sliver of the budget allowed for top Hollywood productions, and they all exhibit a tremendous amout of energy and excitement.

This page will attempt to sort out these diferent genres and try to point the way to new cinematic experiences. Try them ... you just might like them ...
